|Physical Description||Tyler though slightly older than most of his co-workers, isn't as youthful and vigilant as his superiors. His age is shown through his slow thinking and mythological mannerisms that inspire those that work in his office. The only thing he really asks of his hair is that it stays out of his face, which can be troublesome at times.
He is very open about were and who he works out with as this seems to be the preferred method for a lot of his appointments. All in all, he maintains them most relaxed appearance of any officers around him, clean shaved and above all, always impeccably dressed.

Personality & Traits
|General Overview||Tylar hands down one of the most caring and original counselors the institution has ever seen. He has the unique insight of growing up with two doctors specializing if similar fields. It's those moments that have shaped him into the therapist he is today. He's usually very unorthodox when it comes to how he helps those he's chraged with caring for which makes him an endearing part of any department or crew.
A true conscientious man, he insists on pursing issues and hints given to him by the staff and crew until he gets to what has them distracted. Very instant, he thinks of ways to get people talking, learning as much about them as they will allow, or that's in their file, to unearth issues that may be preventing them from advancing in not only their career, but their personal growth as well. He in every since of the word, a counselor of the soul.
|Strengths & Weaknesses||One of the most social people you'll meet, Tylar loves interacting with people, so much so that he tends to wear the social butterfly hat and have private parties just to get certain people involved and talking. He can for all intensive purposes double as the moral officer on a ship or station if need be.
Aside from being very loyal, dependable and inventive, Tylar for the most part is recognized as a good starfleet officer, capable of being just as serious and crucial to the importance of completing the mission as anyone else.
Cohen does however tend to put people's needs before his own. Now that's not always bad, but he'll sacrifice his own being, health even, in order to ensure that those he cares for a taken care of. In his own evaluations, his prudence has been called into question because of it.
One of the bigger issues with man like Tylar is that he has no problems going against direct orders, breaking protocols or even assisting in the insubordination of others in his goals to serve his appointments. From drinking on duty to potential inappropriate relationships are all acceptable to Cohen if it means better mental health.
|Ambitions||Tylar has no major ambitions in regards to his career, he does however wish to have a family and kids one day.|
|Hobbies & Interests||Aside from researching interesting ways to effectively counsel other species and races, Cohen likes to socialize, drink, have a good time, talk to people, enjoy fun music and great atmospheres.|
|Personal History||Growing up in a home of psychological doctors, theorist and generally VERY attentive parents, all contributed to the well-rounded personality in Tylar Cohen that many people experience for the first time and generally like. Growing up in a privileged home, Cohen was taught early that a man who's capable of getting in the minds of others, would effective change the world. It was the physical tips and tricks his mother and father taught him that allowed nearly a conflict free education up into his early college years.
He noticed that his first interactions with adults were married with various responses. Some of them venturing that he was too smart for his own good, often arguing with theories and questioning the motives of his instructors. This type of behavior followed him all the way to Columbia University were he would spend several years studying as a sociology major. His field of study would change shortly after he met a certain young lady who allowed him to sit in on her clinical studies. It was unlike anything he'd every experience, which in turn captured him in his love for psychology.
In four years time, Cohen earned his bachelors degree in Sociology which would serve him well towards earning his master degree in Psychology just five years afterwards. He'd transfer to his home town back in Michigan to be closer to his family and attend the renowned University of Michigan at Ann Harbor. In a few years time, Cohen would earn his doctorate in Psychology from Michigan. Cohen would have a few medical doctors join Starfleet in it's direct commissioning program as a way to not only expand their skills, but explore the galaxy. Cohen happily applied to join Starfleet, if at the very least, to impart his knowledge on those in need.
Before he was allowed to practice his skills however, he needed to complete a supervised practical experience, serving on board several ships as a adjunct-counselor before being allowed to attend the commissioning course and be promoted to an officer rank. Once promoted, his first assignment was onboard the USS Relent where his noticable skills with interactions garndered the attention Starfleet Intelligence. It was after his assigmen there that Cohen was reassigned to a classified Starfleet Intelligence location for several months before being ordered to report to his current duty station. Recently after his departure from the SFI location, he was granted time off to complete his written Starfleet Medical Examination for Perfessional Pratice in which he scored the highest marks. Now serving as counselor, his disposition, though bleek at times, his always a joy to be around and a welcomed pressence in most situations and locations.
